This policy covers the attention labs website, SAA Cloud API, Paid Proof-of-Concept engagements, and developer SDKs. It supplements the Terms of Service.
Violations can mean suspension, termination, or referral to authorities. Where the two policies conflict, the stricter term applies.
Permitted uses
Use attention labs services to build, test, and run lawful applications that route device-addressed speech to AI systems. Typical uses include:
- Voice interfaces for enterprise software
- Consumer devices and kiosks
- Clinical and accessibility tools
Your use must comply with the law in every jurisdiction where you deploy.
Prohibited conduct
You may not use attention labs services for any of the following:
- Conducting non-consensual surveillance or monitoring of individuals.
- Intercepting communications without lawful authorization.
- Building systems intended to deceive, defraud, or impersonate individuals.
- Processing audio or video of minors without appropriate parental or guardian consent.
- Circumventing authentication, rate limits, or other access controls.
- Introducing malicious code into the API infrastructure or any connected system.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract or reconstruct the underlying model.
- Using service outputs to build, train, or improve a competing addressee-detection model.
- Engaging in unlawful discrimination against protected groups.
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing any person.
- Infringing the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
Service integrity and abuse
Do not engage in automated abuse that degrades service for others, including credential stuffing, excessive polling, or synthetic load outside agreed evaluations.
Respect published rate limits and your plan's limits. Do not share, sublicense, resell, or technically circumvent your API credentials.
Sensitive use categories
Some deployment contexts require extra care and, often, a separate commercial agreement:
- Clinical or healthcare settings where addressee-routing affects patient safety
- Law enforcement or government intelligence use
- Systems deployed to minors
- High-risk uses under the EU AI Act
- Regulated data contexts such as HIPAA, FERPA, or GDPR special categories
Contact us before deploying in any of these categories.
Content and data standards
You are responsible for the audio, video, and data you submit, and for obtaining consent from everyone whose speech or likeness is processed.
Do not submit data that is unlawfully obtained, confidential to a third party, or classified.
attention labs does not retain raw audio beyond what processing requires; downstream handling in your own systems is your responsibility.
Enforcement
We investigate suspected violations. Depending on severity, we may suspend access, disable accounts or content, or notify law enforcement.
We may also require remediation as a condition of continued access. Suspension or termination does not relieve you of fees already incurred.
Reporting violations
Report policy violations or suspected abuse to [email protected]. We investigate credible reports and act accordingly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will post revisions here with a new date. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
